How often men should actually get a haircut

There's no universal answer. The right interval depends on the cut. Here's the honest schedule we give SIR clients for each style.

Buzz / short taper

Every 2 to 3 weeks. The shorter the cut, the more visible the regrowth. If you want it sharp, plan accordingly.

Textured crop

Every 4 to 5 weeks. The shape holds well into the fifth week if the bulk was handled properly at the cut.

Side part / mid-length

Every 5 to 6 weeks. Long enough that you don't feel rushed, short enough that the part doesn't get lazy.

Flow / longer styles

Every 6 to 8 weeks for a shape-up. The cut isn't about length removal — it's about keeping the ends clean and the silhouette intact.

Beard sculpt

Every 3 to 4 weeks, ideally paired with your haircut. The neckline and cheek line drift fast.
