Once a month we send a short note about what's happening around the shop, on the block, and inside the chairs. Here's the March edition.
New on the block
A new specialty coffee bar opened two doors down from us on West 3rd. Single-origin pour-overs, no laptops, friendly staff. We've already worked out a deal — bring your SIR receipt within 24 hours of your appointment and they'll knock a dollar off your espresso. Small thing, but it makes the walk over for a cut feel like an outing.
This month's vinyl rotation
We rotate the in-shop record selection every few weeks. March leaned mellow: a lot of late-era Bill Withers, the new Khruangbin, and an unreasonable amount of Sade. April will tip warmer — expect more Marvin, more Anderson .Paak, and the occasional Stevie deep cut on Saturdays.
Quiet Tuesday: our favorite first-time slot
If you're new to the shop, we love booking first-timers on Tuesdays between 10am and 1pm. The shop is calm, we have time for a real consultation without rushing, and you'll usually get the chair next to the window. It's the best version of a first appointment with us.
Hours, holidays, and a small ask
We're closed Easter Sunday and the Monday after. Otherwise, regular hours: Tuesday through Saturday, by appointment. If you book and can't make it, please cancel at least 12 hours out — that slot almost always goes to someone on the waitlist, and it lets us pay our barbers fairly.
Around Beverly Hills
A few clients have asked about parking. Honest answer: meters on 3rd are easiest after 11am. The Beverly Center garage is two minutes' walk and free for the first hour. We validate at the front desk — just ask.
